Calvin Martin, CPA
Calvin began his career in public accounting with the formation of Calvin Martin & Company, PLLC after having worked in industry with a variety of companies including manufacturing, retail, and construction.
Along with his extensive financial experience, Calvin has worked directly in insurance, sales, management, advertising, and human relations. As a result of his broad experience, he has been able to provide clients with comprehensive and sound business advice throughout the years. Calvin continuously develops relationships with other professionals to provide a complete range of business and personal solutions to his clients.
Calvin has sharpened his advising, consulting and coaching skills by expanding his education and accreditations. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in both Louisiana and Texas, a Certified Insurance Counselor, and a Certified Risk Manager.
Calvin is an active member of the Association of International Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA).
Amy Martin Duarte, CPA
Amy has dedicated a significant portion of her career to the development of financial and accounting programs designed specifically for the small business owner in a variety of industries. She is a consummate teacher with an ability to convey difficult concepts in an easy to understand way so her clients can have a sense of understanding and accomplishment.
Amy is responsible for the firm’s corporate and partnership tax, planning, and compliance practice. As the need for expertise in 401k audits increased, Amy utilized her extensive experience to standardize the firm’s audit systems. Her passion for both Tax and 401(k) Auditing has grown over the years to include a wide range of clients throughout various industries.
Beyond her duties as Senior Partner, Amy serves as the firm’s Administrator. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in both Texas and Wisconsin, and holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting.
Amy is an active member of the Association of International Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA).
Melissa Jefferson, CPA
After earning her Bachelor of Science degree at Texas A&M University, Melissa continued her education with a Master of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Marketing from the University of Colorado - Denver. Gifted with an intense desire for learning, Melissa quickly acquired significant experience and knowledge in complex financial and audit areas including insurance, contractors, employee benefit plans, and manufacturing.
Melissa is responsible for employee benefit plan audits, income tax planning, compliance and consulting for business entities and their owners.
Melissa is an active member of the Association of International Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA).
